How to Choose Cheap Skate Ramps - Get What You Need Without Breaking Your Budget

If you are a beginner skater and considering buying some cheap skate ramps then you are best starting off with some of the small plastic kinds. You want a ramp that is not too steep, but will allow you to practice your tricks. The best of these ramps is made out of sturdy hard plastic, and they are impervious to rain and almost any type of abuse you want to throw at them. Here are two things to consider when you are looking at skateboard ramps for sale.

Buy for your skill level. No matter what level of skater you currently are, there is a skate ramp for you. But don't go too steep to fast (unless you want to become VERY friendly with the ground and possibly the emergency room). Skating is a really fun sport, but it takes some time to master. Start out with a small ramp and master that. It is not only safer but will save you a ton of money. You can always go bigger and even combine your smaller ramp with bigger ones to make a mini park.

Decide if you want to buy or build. If you are ready to move up to a bigger ramp then you may want to build it yourself. I do recommend you get a good set of plans and be fairly handy. Also, remember that home built ramps are usually made of wood, so you should cover it with a tarp when not in use. If you decide not to build you can buy cheap skate ramps for nearly any skill level. To save the most money, know what you want before you take out your wallet.
